Marbled Chocolate Muffin Bar
A chocoholics dream. Make up to go in lunch boxes or as an anytime naughty but nice treat!
YOU WILL NEED
1 pack of Jane Asher great to bake Triple Chocolate Muffin Mix
120 ml (4 fl oz) cold water
1 medium egg
40g (1 3/4 oz) white chocolate chunks, or taken from a bar and broken into pieces.
METHOD
Please note that cooking appliances vary. These instructions are given as a guide.
Pre heat oven to 200°C (200°C for a fan assisted oven) / 450°F / Gas Mark 7.
Set aside chocolate chips for later.
Place the muffin mix into a mixing bowl and add the cold water and the egg.
Mix briefly with a spoon to form lumpy batter.
Transfer the batter to a greased lined 17x17cm (7"x7") deep square tin.
Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until the cake is well risen and spongy to the touch.
Place on a wire rack to cool. When cool remove carefully from the tin and remove the lining paper.
Melt the dark chocolate chips then spread evenly over the top of the cooled cake.
Melt the white chocolate, and whilst the dark chocolate is still wet, drop small handfuls of the white chocolate onto the dar. Using a skewer or the tip of a small sharp knife swirl the white chocolate into the dark to give a marbled effect.
Allow the chocolate to set then cut into 8 bars.
