Strawberry Tart
Ingredients:
Jane Asher Shortcrust Pastry
Strawberries - or any fruit you like.
Crème Patisserie custard - ready made.
(If you can not get this then make up sweet thick custard and let it go cold)
Strawberry Jam
METHOD
Please note that cooking appliances may vary. These instructions are given only as a guide.
- Follow the instruction for the pastry then line a 10” flan tray with the pastry, prink the bottom of the base so that it does not rise.
- Bake on the middle shelf for 20 minutes @ 180ºc or until golden brown.
- Remove the tart case and place on a wire rack until cold.
- Place 300g of crème patisserie into the bottom of the case and smooth.
- Top with strawberries.
- Melt the strawberry jam in a pan with a little water, then brush onto the strawberries.
