England Beanie Cake  

You will need:

1 pack of Jane Asher Great to Bake Beanie Cake
60ml (4 tablespoons) water
50g (2 oz) softened butter
1 egg
50g icing sugar
30g red chocolate beans


METHOD:

Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C for fan assisted ovens) / 350°F / Gas Mark 4.

  2. Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C for fan assisted ovens) /350°F/ Gas Mark 4.
  3. Empty into a large mixing bowl:
    The Vanilla Sponge mix
    1 egg
    60ml (4 tablespoons) water
    50g (2 oz) softened butter
  4. Mix on high speed with an electric whisk or mixer for 1 _ minutes and then spoon the cake mix into the Baking Container.
  5. Place on a baking tray and bake on the middle shelf of the oven for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. Allow the cake to cool for approximately 45 minutes, then carefully remove from the container.
  7. Empty the topping mix into a bowl and add 50g (2 oz) of icing sugar. Add 1-2 tablespoons of water (drop by drop) to the topping until it has a thick, smooth consistency.
  8. Spread the topping over the top of the cake.
  9. Form a red cross by placing the red chocolate beans on top of the topping in a cross shape.
