CHOC FULL FLAPJACK

A variation on flapjack, that’s simply choc full of goodies

YOU WILL NEED

1 pack Jane Asher great to bake Chocolate Flapjack Mix
100g butter
50g ready to eat apricots
50g glace cherries, roughly chopped
50g hazelnuts, roughly chopped

METHOD
Please note that cooking appliances vary, these instructions are given as a guide only.

1. Pre heat oven to 160ºC/140ºC fan assisted/Gas Mark 3
2. Put the syrup and 100g butter in a saucepan, stir over a gentle heat until the butter has melted.
3. Stir in the contents of the flapjack sachet and allow to cool
4. When cool stir in the chocolate chips, apricots, cherries
and hazelnuts. Spoon the mixture into the baking
container, spread out evenly, pressing down and smoothing the surface.
5. Place on a baking tray and bake on the middle shelf of
the oven for 35-40 minutes or until lightly golden.
6. Cool in the container
7. Cut into 8 pieces to serve.
