Chocolate Domino Slices
Nice chocolate sponge slices with a sweet buttercream decorated as domino blocks with chocolate chips.
You will need:
1 pack of Jane Asher Great to Bake Triple Chocolate Muffin Mix
120ml (4 fl.oz) cold water
1 medium egg
100g (4 oz) icing sugar
50g (2 oz) butter
METHOD:

- Preheat the oven to 220ºC (200ºC for fan assisted ovens)/450Fº/Gas Mark 7
- Put to one side the sachet of Dark Chocolate Chips
- Grease and line a 7-inch (18cm) square tin with greaseproof paper.
- Empty into a large mixing bowl:
The Chocolate Muffin Mix
1 medium egg
120ml (4 fl.oz) cold water
- Mix briefly with a spoon to form a lumpy batter.
- Spoon the batter mix into the square tin.
- Bake in the middle shelf of the oven for 20-25 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and cool.
- To make the buttercream:
Beat 50g (2 oz) of butter with a wooden spoon until soft.
Gradually add 100g (4 oz) of icing sugar to form a light buttercream
- Once the chocolate sponge has cooled, spread the buttercream over the top of the sponge.
- Cut the sponge into 8 slices by slicing it in half then sideways four times.
- Decorate as domino clocks by using the sachet of Dark Chocolate Chips.
